Man, I'm gonna have a really hard time following rule # 5.

xD
I only just noticed that.

I say the "Musicality" Portion of the judging is a little biased and not very thought out. Many times in almost all forms of music accidentals are used, and they do not normally fit within the normal chord structure that is the base of the song. A lot of times it for a leading tone to go into the next chord. Besides that. If you think about it this way, if you play a lets say a C Major scale while you are holding some sort of C Maj chord, some of those notes might sound out of place.

And also i has a think for dissonance and i incorporate some form of it in nearly every one of my songs, so i might just be screwed in general. lol Anyways ignore my i'm just in a random rant mood, and you happened to be there =P

Oh and in the scoring why are the numbers 9 and 11 not included? Do they cause some sort of clerical issue if something weird happens?

This contest is inspired by the Eurovision song contest, and that is essentially where the whole scoring system comes from.

As for musicality, it's all about sounding pleasing to the ear, the judges votes are opiniated, but that's why I try to get a broad range of people with different tastes on board, so the opinions are varied and the results show a fairer score.

What if the generic chords were done on purpose to fit the type of genre?

It's up to the judges. When I mark I don't even consider Genre as a way to reflect the country.

Rule #5. We must not speak of Rule #5

Stop speaking of it then! D:

This is a cool contest, a shame I don't have the time nor the experience to participate, *preparing for rac5* lol I hope by that time I will be better at making music with those damn programs xD

Good luck to all of the participants and everyone involved, this is kinda the world cup of music lol

Why thank you.
I'll look forward to seeing you in RAC 5, I hope you still tune in for the show this time and gather an understanding of how the show is run.
